About Us

Waikato Unicol AFC
The 2010 season sees us increasing our teams from 8 to 10 adding both another mens and womens team. We have had a fantastic turn out for trials and Unicol will have high calibre, competitive teams in every division of the Waikato competition.

Waikato Unicol AFC - 50 years in the making.
If you ever played for:
* Hamilton Teachers College (1960-1969)
* Teachers/Varsity (1969-1977)
* Waikato Unicol AFC (1977-present)
and you're keen to celebrate 50 years of university football, and reminisce over lunch or dinner about the good old days please refer to the information regarding varstonians day and look out for details of our 50th Jubilee prizegiving.

Please register you interest by emailing vicepres@unicol.org.nz

Team lists will be put up on the Womens and Mens pages as soon as they are available. If you are unsure of when to come down for trainings turn up on Wednesday 6pm and ask someone.

Trainings are always at 6pm, Tuesday and Thursday for our competitive teams (Premier and Reserve squads), and Wednesday for our more social teams. Trainings are on the University fields under lights, parking in gate 3a or 3b off Silverdale Rd, near Don Llewellyns.

Fees and Payment information can be found under our General Noticeboard. We have set comparitively low subs to other clubs around the Waikato and these are set to cover ground costs, and also administration costs to be part of the Waikato soccer league, if payment is a problem you are more than welcome to set up a payment system.

We are run by players for players, and have a great bunch of volunteers on our committee that keep the club running. We pride our club in having fun on and off the field. You do not have to be a student to play for Unicol, and we dont mind if you have never played before. Joining a team sport is a great way to meet fun, new and interesting people.

The soccer season kicks off 10th and 11th of April and runs through to the end of September, with Mens teams playing at 12:30pm or 2:45pm on Saturdays and Womens teams playing at 11am Sundays.

For more information about the club, don't hesitate to email our secretary Pia at secretary@unicol.org.nz with any questions. Or press the 'contact us' link.
